Survey Geometry for Readers

BassDaunito

BassDaunito turns your reading sessions into plane-table survey geometry. Log session pages into Charge and sight the next resection ray so your Figure advances station by station along the route for your open volume.

How the Expedition Fold Works

Every open volume in BassDaunito is tracked as an active Sortie moving through three clear phases: Slack, Charged, and Arrived.

1. Moor a Volume

Open the Catalogue to pick from local shelf presets, enter a title, author, and page count manually, or scan an ISBN barcode to start an Underway Sortie at the Datum station.

2. Log Pages into Charge

Use the session stepper on the Map canvas to log the pages you read today. Once accumulated Charge reaches 20 pages or more, the Sortie folds from Slack to Charged.

3. Sight the BassDaunito

Invoke Sight on a Charged Sortie to spend 20 pages of Charge, record a SightMark with your resection bearing and drift angle, and advance your Figure to the next station.

Inside the Instrument

  • Map Canvas: The root duotone plane-table terrain board rendering your low-poly Figure on the active Route, the moored Volume station chip, the session page stepper, and the Sight alidade control.
  • Catalogue Sheet: Start a new Sortie from curated local presets, manual book entry, title lookup, or live camera ISBN barcode capture. Only one Underway Sortie is active at a time so your table stays focused.
  • Sortie Sheet: Inspect every station along the active Route, review resection bearings and the drift angle invariant, and read the full log of SightMarks and EarlyMarks.
  • Stats Sheet: Review completed sorties, cumulative sights recorded, total pages logged, and station pace stored locally on your device.
  • Settings Sheet: Choose your preferred plane-table measurement units, reset local table data with confirmation, or reach out via our support address.
